LegalX is the trading name of the independent legal practice of Adeen Ahmed Siddiqi, Advocate of the High Court of Pakistan (Punjab Bar Council Licence No. 100532). LegalX is not a separate legal entity. The practice, at 6th Floor, ISE Building, Jinnah Avenue, F-7/1, Blue Area, Islamabad, Pakistan, is the controller responsible for personal data handled through this site and our services. Contact: info@legalx.legal.
As we are established outside the UK and offer services to individuals in the UK, we have designated a representative in the UK under Article 27 UK GDPR:
Muhammad Saad Ali Syed
Flat 16 Charles Rowan House, Margery Street, London WC1X 0EH, United Kingdom
saadali.ris@gmail.com
Our representative is mandated to be addressed, in addition to or instead of us, by data subjects and by the Information Commissioner’s Office on all issues relating to our processing of personal data. Contacting our representative does not limit your right to contact us directly, and this designation does not affect our own responsibility or liability under the UK GDPR.
Identity and contact details, organisation, the content of your enquiry and any documents you send us, and website/usage data via cookies. We use these to respond to enquiries and provide our services (contract), to meet legal obligations, and to run and improve our business (legitimate interests). Where we handle personal data for a client (for example a law firm), we act as a processor under that client’s instructions and a Data Processing Agreement.
We are based in Pakistan, which is not covered by a UK adequacy decision. Where personal data is transferred from the UK to us, we use the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) (or the EU SCCs with the UK Addendum) together with a transfer risk assessment.
We keep data only as long as needed, then securely delete it. We use encryption, access controls and confidentiality obligations. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability — contact us or our UK representative to exercise them.
You can raise a data protection concern with us or with our UK representative. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
